Final Week to Donate!

Get a front-row seat to watch me fail miserably as an introvert alone on a

cross-country train ride, sharing meals

and shower stalls with strangers as

I write about the trip!

Donors get a copy of the book when it comes out, PLUS updates (entries, photos, maybe videos!) DURING the actual trip (available ONLY TO DONORS)!

Welcome to my little corner of

the online world!

Stay a while. Take a look around. Have a seat. Hey, get your feet off the couch! Whaddya live in a barn? And close that door. We're not paying to heat the whole Internet!

Now don't you feel right at home?

I'm glad you're here. Click stuff. Read stuff. Buy stuff. Not necessarily in that order.

After she’s violently attacked back in her hometown after her class reunion, Emily Saunders is the hot topic of conversation again, just when she was beginning to feel her husband’s death a few years earlier was no longer the big news item for everyone at church.

The attack leaves her bruised and battered, struggling to remember the details of what happened—but then struggling to forget those details for good. What exactly happened that night?

Emily returns home to Pittsburgh—to her children and to Peter, her new boyfriend from church—but finds herself worrying about everything that’s happened, everything that still might happen, and everything that will have to change because of a second pivotal day in her young life—a day on which everything changes.
